She Started It by Sian Gilbert

3.0

Boy oh boy does this book give a new definition to mean girls! This was at times addictive, at other times it was hard to read but if you want a twisty psychological thriller, with catty behaviour and plenty of DRAMA, where everyone had several secrets up their sleeves, then you should check this one out. This would be a great summer read or a read for when it's winter and you're dreaming of a getaway to a hot island paradise. There was a lot of POVs to cycle through in this book and considering I read this via audio, it was sometimes hard to keep track who I was listening to but that being said I found the use of the past vs present timeline was done masterfully and really added to the story. Gilbert wrote some amazingly dislikable characters and I mean just wow! My heart hurt for Poppy once we find out what happened to her and I loved the twist at the end (I was hoping for this particular twist actually!). Revenge is sweet indeed.
