This book was far longer than it needed to be. There were also far too many points of view. Some of these were unnecessary for telling the story and made the book feel cluttered and confusing at times. It didn’t help that the book began so slowly that I almost refused to finish it. Around 55% of the way through, things picked up only to be hastily and sloppily thrown together. The conclusion was almost too convenient and felt like an afterthought. I truly don’t understand the hype around this book. I also believe most readers can skip it.
