Worm is a marvelously ornate series about superheroes & superpowered criminals. Excellent worldbuilding, character study, plot twists, minor characters with complex inner lives, & tense action. The author has a unique ability to weave a rich network of three dimensional characters into a fascinating scifi drama setting. Recommended for fans of Watchmen, X Men, or scifi thrillers.
Graphic: Animal cruelty, Antisemitism, Blood, Body horror, Bullying, Confinement, Hate crime, Kidnapping, Racial slurs, Racism, Self harm, Sexual assault, Suicide, Torture, Violence, and Incest
Intense graphic focus on creepy spiders & bugs throughout. Many antagonists are serial killers or racists. Many horror tropes are present. Trauma is a primary focus.
