Princess of Glass by Jessica Day George

3.0

This story follows Princess Poppy (from Princesses of the Midnight Ball), on an adventure of her own. With an evil "godmother" on the loose, a spoiled and very defiant servant creating mayhem in the castle, and the terrors of having to dance again, Poppy has to find her inner strength in order to help save her new friends and the entire kingdom. Filled with danger, romance, villains, and magic, this story takes what thought you knew about the Cinderella tale and puts a new spin on it. Princess of Glass is a great read for all ages.

When I started reading this book I didn't know quite what to expect. At times, the plot felt like it was developing rather slowly but overall I think George did a good job creating this new take on the Cinderella fairy tale. The only thing I really didn't like was that I felt like it ended way too fast after such a long build up, but overall it was a good book.
