This book is among the more challenging I've read. Finding the truth her truth in an asylum, puts Vivienne on a journey that causes her to question her own sanity. The power of music is beautifully woven into this often bleak and haunting story.
I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I found it so difficult to get into Vivienne's sad position. Once the pieces really begin to unfold it is difficult to put this book down. Persevere to those parts. You'll be glad you did. I know I was.
