Maybe I’m just desensitized, but I didn’t find this book to be the darkest thing I’d ever read; I have fan fictions that definitely went darker. I enjoyed the pace and the unique world that was created in this work, although I believe it would have benefited from some editing for conciseness. Definitely a unique read!
