I found the plot to this book extremely confusing. I recognize that this is a work of fiction but it was so fantastical and multi-layered that it became supremely difficult. There was also a great number of pages spent describing the technical aspects of weaponry and such, which I doubt Patterson's readers really understand or need from his work.
