Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell

4.0

Ten years ago, Laurel's daughter Ellie disappeared & consequentially her marriage crumbled and her family's bond weakened. Laurel has never given up hope of finding her daughter, but is finally moving on with her life. She meets and starts dating a handsome man with a beautiful daughter - though her family teases her about how much her new beau looks like her ex-husband...and how much his daughter Polly looks like Ellie. Is she really moving on - or just looking to replace the family members she lost?⁣

Lisa Jewell is great a twists & turns! My jaw was on the floor a few times with this one when I realized what was happening. It's pretty dark - might be too dark for some, but if you like dark & twisty, this one's for you!
