GO IN BLIND! I've never started a book without really looking into a brief overview along with a review or two, so this was a first. Sadness, longing, passion, vulgarity, violence and sex. What a whirlwind of a book. This was nothing like I expected but it will easily become a top recommended read for me to others. This was refreshing because i haven't read anything like this. The characters seem rough around some details but it becomes very evident in the end why, then they all just fit and make sense. I had so many questions building up with this book so it drew me in and kept me intrigued. My biggest cons with this book and why it's not 5 stars is honestly a personal preference in writing style. It makes sense for there to be repetitive use of the same name i.e 'Kady. Kady. Kady. Kady', but the overuse of the repetition in so many places becomes a slight annoyance. The use of bouncing to the past and present is needed but then in future situations there are flash backs and does make some spots confusing. Overall I would highly recommend. What a fitting end and an uplifting note to end on. At the end of the day this book highlights something a majority of people will never experience or know someone who's trauma has resulted in such extremes. What a tragic but great insight into the chaos of life that people like Kady go through.
