started reading at chapter 5 because my copy had the obsidian tower for the first 4 chapters then switched over. because the latter is in tje same universe i realized too late what had happened. overall a pretty nice book. didn't get to fully enjoy the dynamics between the characters as i did jump into them having an established relationship but it was really nice to have a friend group who do like each other not just for the sake of. dont know if i shoukd read the first one or just push to the third.
