When I first read the blurb to Checkmate, I was super excited to read it. I absolutely love Enemies to lovers stories and this did not disappoint.
Viola is the good girl and Travis is definitely the bad boy. The character development was great. The tension and angst was my favorite part. I still can't believe that this was a debut author. The story and writing was so well done. I cannot wait for the next book and I highly recommend that everyone check out This is War if you haven't already. I think that everyone who loves romance will love this one.
