The Black Cathedral by Marcial Gala

5.0

Not knowing anything about the modern Cuba that this is apparently lampooning on the front flap, I still really enjoyed this novel. It’s a great example of just how unapologetically terrible people can be. That’s generally my kind of story. Told by many different narrators, all with their own distinct voice. The translation really was wonderful. I wouldn’t even think this wasn’t originally written in English.
