In the second book of the Rough Riders series, you meet Carter McKay. Carter is working for Gemma Jansen, who when push comes to shove has to put her pride aside to ask Cash Big Crow to come be her ranch foreman. Along for the ride is Cash's daughter Macie. Cash lets Gemma know that with the chemistry between them, this will not be a business only relationship. As both Gemma and Cash fight feelings for each other and the ghost of her late husband, Carter thinks Macie is the answer to his artist block and convinces her to pose for him. This leads to a hot and heavy relationship. Confusion, bad judgement, and misunderstandings are the specials of the day til our cowboys final figure out what is right in front of them.
