Was immediately drawn into this one (read it entirely on a very long plane ride). The concept/format was original and managed to reveal a lot about Cara organically. I thought Cruz could have gone further with the concept (stayed a little one note)
the ending in particular felt a little flat

Overall, a book completely different from any I’ve read before—I feel like we often get this type of story from the child’s perspective; I appreciated this one from the parent’s.
