Jae is such an expert in low angst lesbian romance if you want a sapphic romance that doesn't stress you out and throw third act breakups at you. Even though this is a celebrity romance, it's a super realistic relationship development. Particularly surrounding the "coming out" process in a professional setting.
Michelle was such a sweetheart and clearly just adored Amanda from the get go, her patience and willingness to allow Amanda time for her career and space to come out without pressure was refreshing and they were such a perfect match.
One thing that drove me up the wall was Amanda's stereotyping of butch lesbians, and her unwillingness to accept that it wasn't only femmes she was interested in. Thankfully it was vital to allow us to see her character growth and comfort in herself as a lesbian so I was more chill after that 🤣
You should read this if you're looking for a cute low angst sapphic romance that isn't overly heavy handed with trauma and lesbophobia (although there is microaggressions there and a smidge of internalised lesbophobia).
