The Fireborne Blade by Charlotte Bond

I wish there had been more dragon-y parts, but otherwise an excellent little tale! In general I don't prefer nonlinear storytelling; it took about half the book for me to adapt to it in this one.
This could have been a longer story with more of the world and more of the machinations of the characters, but I also don't think it was a hindrance to my enjoyment. However, I'm not I see how a sequel will benefit this story. It wraps up in a good place, and I don't know that I want to know what happens after.

Moderate: Animal death, Body horror, Gore, Misogyny, Sexual assault, Violence, Murder, Fire/Fire injury, Injury/Injury detail, and Classism
