This shit is bananas. And by shit, I mean smut. Holy Dinah it’s graphic. I have a feeling that’s just Reyne’s style and I’ll have to get over it if I want to read more of these books. I hope one day we will get the word “ass” instead of “arse” to go along with the copious usage of “cunt” and “pussy”. I also wish these books had another round of editing for character consistency and condensing the narrative.
Delora as a heroine is much less consistent and less likeable that Rea in book 1. I see the type of person she was meant to be, but between the inconsistencies and the vocal choices made by the narrator, she is very whiny.
Magnar is 10/10, loved him.
I’m really interested in this fantasy world and overarching plot with the Demon King. So despite my near constant grimace during sex scenes, I will be continuing with the series.
