Pyramids by Terry Pratchett
4.0

Another funny novel of the Discworld. Terry Pratchett writes hilarious witticisms and creates brilliantly amusing scenarios in this 7th book in the series, Pyramids. The primary setting of this one is unique for Discworld books, a play on Ancient Egypt (after a brief start in the infamous Ankh-Morpork). As usual, events descend into wackiness and silliness, but that never stops the flow of entertaining humor. This wasn't my favorite book in the series so far, but nonetheless it kept me laughing and chuckling throughout.

I continue to cherish Pratchett's Discworld books as fun palette cleansers. They're short, sweet, and constantly put a smile on my face. Pyramids 100% fits that bill. I'm primarily enjoying Pratchett's books on Audiobook, which I couldn't recommend more. Alfred Enoch, the narrator of Pyramids, demonstrates amazing range with his voices for each character, making the experience even more lively and uproarious. I have no idea how Alfred recorded it without busting out laughing the entire time.

As I say with every Discworld book, if you're looking for something lighthearted that will make you smile and laugh, grab one of these novels and give them a go. Pyramids would do the trick.
