Forces of Nature was emotionally draining I realized while I was reading that my favorite book trope appears to be dead/absent parents because good parents (like Knox's) make me cry and bad parents (like Ruth's) also make me cry but dead parents basically don't exist which is exactly what I want but I digress. Knox is a sweet and perfect book boyfriend I could do a whole TikToks series of his quotes (the author already has through that's how I ended up reading it) he has an amazing family and he likes plants which was a cute and unique hobby I loved Ruth too but she was bordering on too relatable bad parents older brother you don't recognize but miss desperately honestly I would mark those 2 as trigger warnings over how much they made me cry but the former feels too vague lots of books have crappy parents which doesn't usually make me cry but in combination with the latter which is much more specific I cried buckets so if you have similar issues I say save yourself the trouble and skip it if those things don't bother you give Forces of Nature a chance! Especially if you like when he falls first but still likes to get under her skin which is such a good trope imo
