The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye
5.0
I’ve just finished this book and my heart can’t cope....I’m broken 💔😭
I was really unsure about this book when I pulled it from my TBR jar after seeing all of the negative reviews.
As soon as I read the first page I knew this was going to be a winner for me as I am in love with all things Russian.
This book was so beautifully written, I couldn’t put it down, hence how I’ve finished it in a whole 26 hours. I loved the world and the Russian names for places and the fact that the author didn’t make up her own world. I love the fact that she included a few Russian words too into the dialogue.
The characters were so so loveable, even though I couldn’t relate to any of them I didn’t feel nothing for them.
I’m most in love with the story line. The magic was there, not too much to be overpowering but just enough. The romance was there, I’m not really one for love triangles but I loved this one!
I loved that ending, even though my heart is broken and I’m trying not to cry in front of my mom, it was incredible. People said they found it predictable and blah blah but honestly I was gasping the whole way through that ending!
It ripped my heart out and tore it up into teeny tiny pieces and then jumped on those pieces and set them on fire.
I need book 2. I need it so bad 😭😭💔
