I’ve been listening to this on audio, bit by bit, so I can think each chapter through before moving on to the next - there is so much to think about! I particularly appreciate the stories, both traditional and the author’s personal anecdotes.

Some of the ideas are not new or specific to indigenous culture (eg. visualisation, meditation) but I appreciated a different perspective on them. Even more so were the chapters on connection, power and leadership because these were so different to our western way of thinking. One sentence toward the end of the book in a chapter about leadership was particularly inspiring to me: “ See those fullas (politicians) there, boy? They think they are leaders but all they do is talk, talk, talk. They are nothing but ghosts. They aren’t leaving any tracks in the sand. Don’t be a ghost, leave some tracks for others to follow.”
