My second Agatha Christie mystery, after Murder on the Orient Express. Where the solution to The Orient Express was elegant, Styles was much twistier and more elaborate, but just as difficult to put down. If I have one complaint it's with Hastings, the narrator, who has a high opinion of his own mediocre deductive abilities and constantly belittles Poirot's methods. He quickly grows tiresome, and if he insists on narrating any more books in the series, I hope he at least learns some humility.
