A Little Bit Country
by Brian D. Kennedy
When reading YA, especially queer YA, it always amazes me how fully-realized characters are, oftentimes even more so than adult novels. Queer writers always know how to set juxtapose polar-opposite characters in such a natural way.
A Little Bit Country is by no means perfect, but it follows that queer YA tradition of creating intense characters with intense connections. I would've read it in a single day if I weren't so busy.
