Did not finish book. Stopped at 32%.
1. Slept with an ENGAGED guy and is meant to be the lovable mc?? She's the  "good guy" in this situation because he doesn't text her back so aka doesn't treat her how she deserves?? Sorry wtf, this can't be glossed over as sympathy points, towards Her? Lol
2. Pacing really weird - slept with said taken guy in first 5%, then we have her moping about it for six months, and the competition doesn't start until 25% into the book
3. Seemed to have a more anti-men stance rather than one of  feminism - this book is meant to be empowering towards women - that doesn't mean every woman must hate every man due to the latter being misogynistic pigs, as refers to similiarly in the book. There's a difference, and hating on men (as a collective, which includes the guys who havnt shown any sign of being a dickhead) is Not something I like used as a way to gather woman together and use as the reason women should be united
4. I was so looking forward to a book showing a plus size woman love her body, and control her destiny to be a role model to women who need it in the world - but her entire identity was how she felt about her body, which might've been the point and future development I guess. I just felt Bea's whole world was her weight, as apposed to the book being about her showing she is so much More than that, which is a shame.
