cphenly 's review for:
In the Woods
by Tana French
This is very good writing, and French creates really interesting characters. I was somewhat disappointed in the solution (which I saw coming for 200 pages), and for some things left unresolved, but I definitely liked it well enough to get the second book, which takes place six months later and features one of the main characters from this one. Thanks for the tip, Jen!
Just re-read this book for a book discussion group. Liked it better than the first time; I still saw some of the secrets coming, but better appreciated the careful plotting and the excellent character work. I never got around to getting the second in the series, but have just ordered it. I think I let a good thing get away here... glad to have been brought back around to it.
