What I Liked:
  • This was a unique storyline!
  • I really liked how we got snippets of Kira's past through flashbacks and dreams. I also liked that they did not go into super big detail about her past and the abuse she suffered.
  • The relationships between the dogs and their handlers were beautiful.
  • I did not expect the ending! 
  • No forced romance - it would have been really easy to include some romantic plotline that didn't fit, and I appreciate the author choosing not to.

What I Didn't Like/Wanted More Of:
  • I needed a little bit more background on some of the characters. Quite a few of them fell too flat.
  • It almost felt like, at times, the author forced "too much" trauma into all of her characters.
