What I Liked:
- This was a unique storyline!
- I really liked how we got snippets of Kira's past through flashbacks and dreams. I also liked that they did not go into super big detail about her past and the abuse she suffered.
- The relationships between the dogs and their handlers were beautiful.
- I did not expect the ending!
- No forced romance - it would have been really easy to include some romantic plotline that didn't fit, and I appreciate the author choosing not to.
What I Didn't Like/Wanted More Of:
- I needed a little bit more background on some of the characters. Quite a few of them fell too flat.
- It almost felt like, at times, the author forced "too much" trauma into all of her characters.
You Should Read If You Like:
- Learning about search and rescue dogs
- Family based thrillers
Graphic: Kidnapping
Moderate: Child abuse
