Make Mine Magic

So this was a cute, light story. The plot itself is unique - wizardry folk living among non-wizardry New Yorkers. The main "conflict" being fought for in the story was "who" should govern the wizarding community.

I really loved Claire's personality. She was such a fun protagonist to follow along. I love her arc - starting out naive and then coming into her own and laying down the law!
The aspect I didn't quite like about this story was there was a lack of depth in terms of "why" holding the governing power was so important. And then the magical aspects weren't impactful enough. I wish the wizards described the spells more.
