Another great romance book from Talia Hibbert. I love the intersectional diversity and the portrayal of anxiety in this one is spot on. I also loved how she described Zafir's grief and depression after the death of his brother and father. She has a great way of portraying these diverse disabilities that feels real and authentic and I love that so much.
I also really liked Zafir and Dani together. I felt like they balanced each other out well. She's definitely more outgoing and loud and proud of who she is while he's more reserved and quiet and unsure of himself. But yet he was the one who was sure of his feelings and introspective and willing to tell the world about them, while she struggled to realize her feelings and connect with them and be okay with actually feeling them. It was such a good balance and I think Dani really grew because of it. I loved watching both of their character arcs grow and become better people as individuals as well as together.
Sometimes I feel like the character growth isn't very strong in some romance books but this was definitely clear and beautiful to see.
