Pleasure Crew: K'Vella by Morgan Robinson
5.0
The worst thing about this series is that it's too short (A common compliant from me,,,, I understand I'm the problem here) how DARE Morgan write two characters so beautiful, so well. how dare she write such a great book only for it to be as short as it is!!!!! I feel this way every time I finish one of her books, I'm never quite ready to let them go.
The world building is subtle and not too much or overwhelming and while there are tons of species, its written in a way that keeps it clear. While short, its jam packed with lots of love, yearning, and anxiety LOL. The third act conflict left my heart racing when I realistically knew what was going on.
There's little to no character growth but to be honest I don't think either of them needed it, K'vella is insecure due to being discarded many times before and being seen as "unfit" (for lack of better word) by her own people, the insecurity of course is overcome in the end, but I think both her and Holoth are wonderful characters that were written very well.
