This story follows Melanie and James; young newlyweds who have spent most of their separated due to James joining the military. And as Christmas approaches with no word on James, Melanie starts spiraling.
I thoroughly enjoy Melanie and James' story. I felt like I went through all of her emotions alongside her.
Usually I'm not a fan of going back and forth with past and present, however I thought it really set tbe mood for the book. And was a very important part of this story.
This was a very cozy comfort read which is great for the holiday season.
