Accidentally Wedded to a Werewolf
by Isabelle Taylor
This book has grumpy/sunshine (manic pixie), he falls first, monsters, accidental marriage, and an open relationship (not the MC, well kind of but once you read it you’ll know). I really wanted to like it more than I did, part of the reason I didn’t like it is that cheating, even open relationships, is a no for me. Luna was very much the stereotypical manic pixie girl, bubbly, doesn’t take herself to seriously, jumps from thing to thing, downplays her accomplishments, and if you like that, you will like Luna. Oliver is a grouch, a grump, a stick in the mud, and a werewolf who is struggling with a secret that he’s keeping from his family. For a family that practically lives in each other’s pockets, he’s one of the odd men out. I felt this story had a weird dichotomy of being both too fast and too slow. The marriage and the smexy times happened fast, getting to know different characters from the who town also happened fast, the actual storyline slow as molasses I didn’t feel like much happened in the actual storyline, I felt like this book could have been at least 50 pages shorter and nothing would be missed or left out. If Hector was not in the book, Luna’s personality developed into more than just being the “fun girl”, and the storyline tightened up, I would have liked it a lot better.
