I am having a hard time reading contemporary books published in the 2000s. A different time period, even as close as it is to the present.
I think this handled rape more delicately and deftly than some reviewers said, but there was more insta-love than I would have liked. Overall, I think Jae has definitely continued to improve from 2008.
