I'm currently reading The fifth season by N.K. Jemisin. This is the first book in The broken earth trilogy. I'm reading an owned copy. This is my second read of this book. Reading it for a buddy read with a group on Discord.
Loving my reread of this. I just love this world and the writing of the author. The way to story is set up is so cool and complex. It's also way easier to read than the first time, which is great too.
This was an amazing reread! Just loved it so much! I can't really say anything else about it, it is just awesome and the best!

Incredible.
This is one of the best fantasy books I've ever read and it's been nominated for best fantasy series of all time in my records.
I can't really explain what I loved about this, because it was so good, but I will try.
The worldbuilding was amazing. Just enough to understand it and not be too much. The world itself was super interesting and well thought out.
The writing was the best. For me sometimes a bit hard to follow because of difficult words, but that's just my lack of ability. How the author created the world in her writing, that you really felt you were there and could almost smell and feel it, was just awesome.
The characters were so incredibly interesting and well written that it baffled me. I loved the three perspectives, sometimes a bit hard to figure things out, but the author gave you just enough that it was understandable.
The story and plot itself were very interesting. The suspence was so high it was almost too much, in a good way. When it got a little slower the author twisted it around and the pace was there again. The twists and turns in this book were unbelievable (as in good) and I didn't see them coming.
I can't really say anything valuable I think about race in this book, because I'm white, but in my perspective it was so well done. Race and color didn't matter in this world. There was another kind of discrimination, but not based on looks or heritage. I found that fascinating to read about. I also loved the representation in this book. You have trans rep, gay and lesbian rep and bi rep. Just awesome!
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and can't wait to read the next book (and probably everything this author writes).

I'm currently reading The fifth season by N.K. Jemisin. This is the first book in The broken earth series. I'm reading this book for the Tome topple readathon for a book that is written by a POC (person of color). I'm also reading it for the Magical readathon OWLs 2018 for Herbology: read a book with a nature word in the title (I think season is good enough). I'm also reading this book as a five star prediction, so am not going to share anything here. You can watch my review for this book on my Youtube channel probably in June.
