Listen, I love Terry Fallis. I’ve read every single one of his books, have seen him speak, fangirled over him signing my book. He is a truly great feminist, a charming man, a lovely speaker.
But, I just couldn’t love this book. Maybe it’s that I couldn’t give two shits for golf. Or maybe how incredibly irritating I found the protagonist, ironically named Adam (ironic because I’ve named my son that, and I find him incredibly irritating at times, too).
If you’re going to try a little Fallis (joke intended), don’t let this be the only one, as I honestly don’t love it the way I do others. Sorry Terry.
