Winterwood by Jacey Bedford

4.0

This was really, really good. I can't remember where I learned about it (honestly, I think it was in a list of books that most people missed in 2016 or 2015 or some such), but I'm so glad I took the time to find it and read it.

Rossalinde is an excellent heroine, the world that Bedford's built around her is super duper interesting, and the love interest is, ahem, a very...delightful character. (I'm looking forward to learning more about him in the next book in the trilogy!)

Anyway, this is definitely worth a read if Magical Lady Pirate/Privateer sounds up your alley. (I ask you, who would NOT want to read about a magical lady pirate?)
