Somebody's Daughter: A Memoir by Ashley C. Ford
challenging
emotional
medium-paced
4.0
I was lucky to have an advanced listening copy from Libro.fm of this much anticipated memoir. Ashley C. Ford narrates it herself and it is truly a pleasure to listen to. This memoir explores grief, what it means to have an incarcerated parent, mother/daughter relationships, and more. At times I found myself cringing, wincing, of crying alongside Ashley’s storytelling and I find myself at the end wishing to hug her, buy her a coffee, and become her friend. Recommend to fellow lovers of memoir.
