I think this is a new all time favourite. Enthralling punchy writing, nuanced and interesting characters, and sciency theorizing integrated very smoothly. Going to be chewing for a long time on the ideas presented. Just to name a few, whether consciousness is necessary or even beneficial for intelligence, and the dynamic between the illusion of the "I" we experience, and all the layers underneath the illusion.
