While death wasn’t the end, he wasn’t done living yet.

A trans Latino boy falling for a ghost gay Latino, this is the story I never knew I wanted but is everything I ever needed.

Aiden Thomas has done a spectacular job with their debut. This book is a perfect mixture of fantasy and reality.
I'm not a US citizen, so the only idea about how the Latinx community lives in States is through social media and from what I know, Thomas has done a great job portraying it.

The characters are very in touch with real people, they have flaws and their own struggles and it all ties up perfectly in the end.

One of the best things in the book is that how Yadriel is fighting everyday to be accepted by his family but still is not able to leave them, it's something I've not read a lot about.

The focus on how teens require validation and their struggles to fit in are so relatable as a teen myself.

Another great thing about this story would be how it potrays friendship, sense of community and accepting change. It's definitely one of the best things I've read this year. Absolutely amazing and worth it's hype. I also loved how the author has mentioned incidents about Yadriel being deadnamed but never have they revealed Yadriel's deadname.

You are going to be enthralled and captivated by the story. It's about time we normalize poc lgbtqia+ rep in YA and other genres and this book is perfect for it.

This book is everything you'll need, it'll make you cry and laugh and long to know more about the characters. It'll sometimes break your heart but it'll put it back together as well.

Hope you love this one as much as I did.
