That's it. I am a lifelong Jennifer Lynn Barnes fan. I have no idea how that woman's brain brains but boy, I am OBSESSED! I swear she is an absolute mastermind because the way her books flow together so intricately, how that story is connected to this story and this story ties in with the previous story and threads are woven with the most exact detail, my mind just cannot take it. On top of the genius of her universe, it's the actual books themselves! Filled with brilliant and barely passable mysteries and games and puzzles and clues and it's all just so good.

I read The Brothers Hawthorne last year and I'm so glad I did because honestly, you need it. There are so many details that get carried over, used and are very much a big part of this plot line. Honestly, I have no idea how she comes up with this stuff! I love that all of the OG characters have returned to this story; Avery, Jameson, Nash, Xander and Grayson! (BTW I am kind of obsessed with Xander, he's such a dork and is absolutely hilarious!) And that all the new characters consist mostly of those we met in The Brothers Hawthorne! I love how everything is so interconnected!

The games were so good! I love a good escape room and the mystery was executed so beautifully! I loved getting to know Rohan and Knox! They have actually become some of my favorite characters and I just find Gigi to be absolutely spunky and amazing (also, hilarious). I loved how you can feel that something isn't right from early on in the book and the plot twist still leaves you shocked! Of course, we end on a cliffhanger and now I literally need book 2 to LIVE!!
