The Summer Children by Dot Hutchison

3.0

So, I didn't realize that this was book #3 in a series.
I picked it up without any background knowledge of the characters, and I was actually able to follow the story quite easily. I may have missed some of the reasons behind the relational details, but I feel like Hutchison explained them as much as necessary for someone to be able to understand without having read the first two books. (Thankfully!)
The Summer Children was a disturbingly delightful read. I recommend it to anyone who seems interested in the summary. There is a lot of disturbing (and triggering) sexual scenes- so be warned if you're sensitive.
