Beach Read by Emily Henry

January, you are twenty-eight, and today I am your father.
I enjoyed this book for the most part, but I mourn for the POV we should’ve/could’ve had from Gus.
I think I would have enjoyed the buildup and relationship more if we’d been inside Gus’ head through the miscommunicative parts, especially as he really struggled to open up. I actually found his life/story/character to be more interesting than January’s.
I did tear up near the end. There was just something missing for me in the relationship which I think could’ve been fixed knowing Gus’ POV.
