Note: I fully do not believe that this book deserves the hate that it is getting just because people are sensitive and not wanting Ali Hazelwood to grow as a writer. This was a good book overall and it was different because the characters were young and exploring, it’s more realistic.
I liked this one I just really wish there was more romance between Lukas and Scarlett. Yes the scene they had together were sweet and romantic, and I was absolutely obsessed with how much Lukas was obsessed with Scarlet but there was too much of Pen (I know shocking. If you weren’t reading my good rates updates, this is not new.) I despised pin the entire time. I did not understand why Scarlett wanted to be her friend. I did not understand why Lukas put up with this bullshit and I do not understand why they forgave her at the end. This was definitely an unconventional OWD (other woman drama) romance, and I’ve come to realize that that is not my type of read that I like. Overall, I liked this book each time Ali releases a new book. It just gets better and better. I like that. She’s not afraid to explore different things and try different things. She keeps it interesting. The audiobook was very good, but yeah, I had a lot of rage while reading this book which means it was a good writing because it gave me an emotional response but I hated pen and if Pen has no haters in the world, then I am dead.
