If you haven’t started The Wayward Children series, you’re in for a treat. The books follow children who have gone through portal doors. Through doors to places that feel more like home. Places that force you to leave and once you’ve returned you’ll never feel home again. There is some solace to be found, and that’s at Eleanor West’s Home for Wayward Children. But what happens when Eleanor’s methods can’t help all the children? In Where The Drowned Girls Go we follow Cora, a character from a previous instalment, as she transfer to the Whitethrone Institute where things are run very differently.

The previous book in the series, while I still enjoyed it, didn’t quite capture me. Happy to announce this one definitely pulled me back in. I’m not sure if it was the darkness (probably) that I liked about this one, or Cora herself, or perhaps it was the different setting, but I really liked this one.

Seanan McGuire has such vivid concepts and beautiful ideas, I’d like to live in their imagination for a day please. Highly recommend this series! Thank you @tordotcompub for the advanced copy of Where The Drowned Girls Go, 4✨.
