Never Rescue A Rogue by Virginia Heath

5.0

A story of frenemies-to-lovers with secrets and scandal that left me grinning ear to ear and shaking my hands in the air from the tension and banter between the two main characters, Diana and Giles. After getting a glimpse of them in the first novel, I was overly excited to read their romance, and Virginia Heath did not disappoint. My only qualm is the fact that the audiobook was not dual-narrated, but even then, Kristen Atherton did a splendid job narrating.

Not only do the main characters have fantastic banter, but the side characters have amazing chemistry and banter between each other as well, my favorite being between V and Giles once she sets her sights on protecting Diana's virtue and attempting to chaperone them. The found family in this series is absolutely amazing in the way they all adopt each other into their families and their willingness to do whatever it takes to protect them.

I have fallen in love with Giles Sinclair, especially the way he calls Diana his goddess of the hunt, which brought me to my knees every time he told her.

I absolutely cannot wait to read the final book in this series, and Virginia Heath has made her way onto my list of favorite historical romance authors. I cannot wait to see what she puts out in the future.
