i’m, yet again, beating myself up for putting off reading this book for so long just for it to turn out to be one of my favourite reads of ALL-TIME!

this was PERFECT! in every sense of the word. the characters were so well-developed, as was the story and the plot. just utter perfection!!!!! the way all sorts of relationships were handled so incredibly well and how intricate each character was, i’m just… simply unbelievably well-written and the humor????? i spent more time laughing with this book than i did with a lot of people (that kinda…says a lot about me…)

elsie’s character means a lot to me. i don’t think i have ever related to a character THIS much to the point that seeing her get her happy ending and the way she found someone like jack, who put her above anything else, was always there for her and helped her through… literally EVERYTHING had me almost sobbing. she’s so very dear to me and i miss being in her mind already and she gained a little place in my heart forever.

jack… the man that you are! THE. MAN. THAT. YOU. ARE!!!! i still haven’t stopped thinking about him ever since i finished reading. just the absolute perfect man, truly! i’ve always said this and i will die on this hill… i need them OBSESSED! and jack was the very definition of it. the way he tended to and cared for elsie so deeply was so beautiful to read about. every other hour i think of him and start giggling LIKE??????? it’s bad.

elsie and cece’s friendship was also SO special to me and i wish we had gotten to see just a tiny
