We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

So at first I was really confused about their family tree. Like why are there soooooo many family members?

Anyways, so most of the book is just about how privileged they are and Cadence apparently is super "woke", because Gat told her about people suffering in India. At first she didn't care though. I think she never really did even by the end of the book. But Cadence is whining about all her problems. Like okay, her accident was tragic, but is it really THAT hard being privileged? Like to me it sounded like this very often:
"I'm so privileged and my family is like kinda mysterious to others and I want attention, but I also hate attention and I have to go to breakfast at one of the houses that are on a private island that belongs to my family for the summer (so annoying by the way). And also, last summer sucked, because my father and I went on a tour in Europe. Did I mention my accident? Please pity me, but also don't.
