5 stars - I loved it!

TW: eating disorders, mentions of  bullying

Nick and Charlie’s story continues with Nick being in his final year at Truman and starting to look into universities. Charlie has got his anorexia mostly under control and has returned to school and is dealing with how to tell Nick that he is ready to take their relationship to the next level.

Like the rest of the books in this series, I couldn’t put this book down. I love Nick and Charlie so much and have loved the progression of their relationship so much. In this volume we really get to see how much healthier Charlie is and how they are being honest with each other in their feelings, and still very awkward at the same time, which was adorable. I loved watching them talk about being ready to explore sex and talk about Nick going to university.

Another wonderful thing was that we see some healthier relationship building between Charlie and his mother as well in this which I think is good. She clearly has cared this whole time but has just been a bit too pushy at times, which I am glad to see she admitted and talked to Charlie about. More parents need to do this with their children, it would probably save a lot of relationships. Also, I liked seeing Charlie being a supportive brother to Tori and helping her with her relationship with Michael.

Overall, this was a great continuation of Charlie and Nick’s story. I can’t believe this series is almost over but I have loved every second of it.
