After that cliffhanger at the end of the first book, I needed to read HGTD as soon as possible. And this story definitely delivered: the drama, the spice, the funny moments and the chemistry were once again phenomenal.

While the first book was a slow burn, this one is really not. You obviously still get sexual tension and chemistry, but let me tell you about the spice. Rosalie, Burke, Tom and (even!) James did not hold back.

Can we also talk about character development? Because my God, that was amazing, and I’m especially talking about the Corbin brothers. I also loved that Rosalie, Burke, James and Tom were willing to communicate and compromise for them to finally be able to reach their goals.

George Corbin was hilarious in the first book, and he still is. However, we discover an unexpected but impressive side of him. His new friendship with a certain character was really wholesome, I love how they supported each other.

You know that moment when you grow so attached to some characters? When you know their story is complete but you still want more because you don't want it to end? Now I’m definitely in a book hangover. I could not have dreamed of a better HEA. This was perfect. Needless to say, this duet definitely belongs to my top 5 reads of 2022.
