High Five
by Janet Evanovich
Connie doesn’t have much for Stephanie in this one, just a case that isn’t worth much, but her family needs her help with a missing-persons case.
Uncle Fred’s missing, his wife is having a blast spending lots of money. There’s also a bookie following her around.
Benito Ramirez is out on parole and harassing Stephanie.
Morello tells Stephanie he loves her.
This one was okay, really short. About a 1-2 hour read, max.
3 stars.
Audio:
This narrator is okay. The Jersey accent works and her voice works for many secondary characters—I don’t love her for Stephanie.
Overall:
Very poor quality, production-wise. It cut out several times and there were bouts of dead air.
