Love, in English

5 Estrellas!!
I loved, loved this book. It was really unique, so unlike anything I've read before.
I'm a fan of forbidden love, and after reading a lot of stories about older men who fall in love with much younger girls, I must say this is one of the most realistic and intense ones.
I felt a deep connection with the heroine. She felt so real to me, so human, and I could understand her so well. I admired the way she thought and acted in consecuence. She was mature and independent, and brave and strong, but still she was right to her twenty three years old.
I loved her relationship with her brother, and her personality captivated me from page one.
I loved the fact that most of this story takes place in Spain, and a lot of the characters are Spaniards. I'm spanish myself, and I think the author did an amazing work with this book, and everything was so perfectly explained. She described the essence of Spain so well, from our little naps, to the food, to the people. It was a great job of research and description. The writting was fastastic, and the emotions were very intense.
And what can I say about Mateo? He was incredible. A mature man with priorities in life and a deep love for his daughter. I loved all his sides, the sweet caring man inside of him, but also the passionate one. And the way she treated Vera was awesome, I fell in love with their relationship. The slow development was really realistic and you could feel yourself falling in love with them at the same time, with every little thing.
Like I said, one of the things I liked the most about the story was the realistic feel about it. The characters act on impulse sometimes but always thinking about the consecuences, and not everything is rainbows and flowers. You could feel the struggle Vera was going through, and you could really understand everything she was thinking.
I hurt for her when things went bad, and I liked how shelfless she was all the time. Of course, the secondary characters were amazing too, and I found myself liking everyone and whising they were my friends too. They were so nice with Vera, and their relationship with each other was great.
Amazing read that I highly recommend, if you are looking for something different, emotional and intense, with sweet and sexy times, and a lot of good vibes.
